Day 2: #Drop10TODAY Vegetables….

Survived Day 1 of the #Drop10TODAY challenge. Lots of water, lots of vegetables and feeling pretty good – definitely not hungry.  It helps when you husband is out of town and you are busy at work.  Just eat what is written down and keep on working. .. not sustainable, but a good kick start.

All of those vegetables – the good dark green ones are great to fill you up, but how many can one eat?   The great thing about this diet is the two snacks that hold the hunger at bay.  Many years ago, my husband and I did the Zone diet – this is very similar.  Good blend of Protein, Fat and Carbs – nothing crazy and pretty easy to follow. The issue is… for how long before the cliff.  Behavior change takes at least several weeks to months – so let’s see how the ride goes.

The neighborhood team AKA “the village”  is having lots of dialogue about the recipes and those that are tasty.  The village is engaged and my hypothesis is that this will lead to better success.

Here’s an example of a contribution from “the village”:

Another tip. Did you all know that silk cashew milk has only 25 calories and 0 sugar. Not good for drinking but great for an afternoon iced coffee!! Brew some strong coffee and keep in refrigerator. Then add cashew milk and 1 Tbsp of coffee mate sugar free vanilla to it.  It will get you through the craving time!!!

Stay tuned for the weigh in on Wednesday and more tips from “the village”.
